When you use TruFolio as a prospect completing a financial assessment, we collect the financial information you voluntarily enter, including:
When you register as a financial professional (agent), we collect your name, email address, specialty, license information, and billing details.
When you use our platform, we automatically collect certain technical information including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and time spent on each step. This information is used to improve the platform and diagnose technical issues.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
The primary purpose of TruFolio is to share your completed financial assessment with the licensed financial professional whose personalized link you used to access the platform. By completing and submitting your assessment, you consent to this sharing. The financial professional is bound by their own professional obligations regarding the confidentiality of client information.
We share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the platform:
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, in response to a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TruFolio Technology LLC, our users, or others.
Your data is stored on Supabase's PostgreSQL infrastructure, which is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). All data is encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS) and encrypted at rest. We implement row-level security policies to ensure that each financial professional can only access the data of prospects who used their specific link.
While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
Prospect financial assessment data is retained for as long as the associated financial professional maintains an active TruFolio subscription. If a financial professional cancels their subscription, their prospect data is retained for 90 days before being permanently deleted, unless the prospect has created a client account, in which case the data is retained for the life of the client account.
Agent account data is retained for 90 days after account cancellation, then permanently deleted.

TruFolio is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 18, please contact us immediately at joe@trufolio.app and we will take steps to delete that information.
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. As stated above, TruFolio does not sell personal information. California residents may submit privacy requests to joe@trufolio.app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email and will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
